Punjab is moving closer to the aim of revolutionizing the renewable energy sector I the country with the establishment of 100 MW Solar Power Plant at Sadargarh and Chughe Kalan in district Bathinda.
New &Renewable Energy Resources , Revenue, Rehabilitation, Information & Public Relations Minister ,Punjab , Mr. Bikram Singh Majithia disclosing this today said that Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sardar Sukhbir Singh Badal will dedicate the India’s largest single Horizontal Single Axis Tracker Plant to the people.
In a statement issued here, Mr. Majithia said that this project has been commissioned almost six months ahead of scheduled time which will lead to abatement of 30 lac tons of carbon dioxide emissions in the next 25 years. The project is equivalent to planning 9 lac trees and saving of 9000 acre land ‘added Majithia.
Mr.Majithia further said that this project will generate clean and green energy sufficient to power to 225 villages. He said that this project set up Adani Enterprises ltd, part of the Adani Group , a globally integrated infrastructure e approximately 88,000 Mwh/ annum.
